The SSWR program includes four (4) plenary sessions, more than 300 sessions across 25 tracks of original symposia, roundtables, workshops, individual papers, 740 ePosters and 75+ special interest group meetings.

12/2/2022: 2023 Abstract Presentation Notifications Have Been Sent!
Abstract presentation notifications have been sent to ALL presenting authors/speakers on Friday, December 2, 2022. Please note that abstract presentation notices were sent via email to the oral paper and poster presenting authors, symposia organizers, symposia discussants, and symposia paper presenters, and workshops and roundtable speakers.  The email notices came from sswr@confex.com. If you did not receive your notification(s), please email info@sswr.org with your abstract ID. Please note the overall online program schedule will be available the week of December 5.

Overview of the SSWR Annual Conference

The SSWR Annual Conference offers a scientific program that reflects a broad range of research interests. From workshops on the latest quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to symposia featuring studies in child welfare, aging, mental health, welfare reform, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS. Over 500 symposia, workshop, roundtable, paper and poster presentations. Research methods workshops are designed to enhance methods expertise and grant-writing skills and special sessions on research priorities and capacity building that target cutting-edge topics vital to contemporary social work research. Pre-conference programs and a networking reception, especially for doctoral students.

The Thursday plenary session and invited symposia are developed by the Vice President/Conference Chair. The Thursday morning workshop sessions are developed by the Vice President-elect. The SSWR Board of Directors and the Conference Committee provide input into the development of all invited sessions.
