Join your colleagues for food, beverages, and receptions at SSWR 2022.

• Thursday, January 13, 2022, 12:15 pm – 1:30 pm:  “Meet the Scientist” Luncheon (preregistration required)
• Thursday, January 13, 2022, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm:  Opening Reception (Hors D’Ouerves and cash bar)
• Thursday, January 13, 2022, 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Doctoral Student Social Hour, all students are welcome (snacks)
• Saturday, January 15, 2022, 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm:  President’s Reception (Hors D’Ouerves and cash bar)
• Saturday, January 15, 2022, 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm:  Doctoral Student Session and Luncheon (all students are welcome)
• University receptions are held Friday and Saturday evening: check the conference app for date, time & location

Thursday – Sunday, Morning and afternoon coffee breaks are in the Marquis Ballroom, ML2.

• Morning coffee breaks: hot beverages, croissants, bagels, muffins
• Afternoon coffee breaks: hot beverages, cookies, brownies, and soft pretzels

All food will be wrapped or handed to you on a plate by a server behind a plexi-glass screen.

Download the CLEAR App to Show Vaccine and Health Status Prior to Arriving at SSWR 2022

On January 7, 2022, an email was sent to all in-person registrants with instructions how to download the CLEAR app. The CLEAR app is used to show vaccine and health status for all in-person participants at SSWR 2022 in Washington, DC. If you did not receive that email, please email info@sswr.org.

Overview of the SSWR Annual Conference

The SSWR Annual Conference offers a scientific program that reflects a broad range of research interests, from workshops on the latest quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to symposia featuring studies in child welfare, aging, mental health, welfare reform, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS. Over 500 symposia, workshop, roundtable, paper and poster presentations. Research methods workshops are designed to enhance methods expertise and grant-writing skills and special sessions on research priorities and capacity building that target cutting-edge topics vital to contemporary social work research. Pre-conference programs and a networking reception, especially for doctoral students.

The Thursday plenary session and invited symposia are developed by the Vice President/Conference Chair.  The Thursday morning workshop sessions are developed by the Vice President-elect.  The SSWR Board of Directors and the Conference Committee provide input into the development of all invited sessions.
