Health and Safety at SSWR 2024

We are looking forward to your participation in the Society for Social Work and Research’s 2024 conference in Washington, DC. SSWR’s first priority is the safety and welfare of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, contractors, and staff. We hope this policy will help keep everyone safe and comfortable.

This policy is informed by guidance and recommendations issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities. We will continue to monitor and update SSWR’s health and safety policy as needed.

Here is what you should know:

Masks are NOT required and there is no COVID-19 vaccination status requirement.

For your own safety and everyone’s safety, we ask that all attendees who feel ill not attend the conference.

The Marriott Marquis Washington, DC reports that it is back to regular day-to-day cleaning, with its continued focus on cleanliness in public space areas and guest rooms, with updated Ecolab products.  There will be hand sanitizer stations and regularly clean public space, but it is not to the level that was done during peak pandemic. Housekeeping offers full service in guest rooms more regular than peak-COVID as well, and guests will have the option to forgo Housekeeping services with Do Not Disturb sign on door.
