HOTEL RESERVATION UPDATE
Hotel reservation update, 10/23/2017: Wednesday, January 10, 2018, guest rooms at the Marriott Marquis have now been SOLD OUT. Please note the Marriott Marquis Hotel still has guest rooms available Thursday through Saturday. Should you need a room on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, SSWR has contracted with the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel for additional guest rooms.
Hotel reservation update, 8/16/2017: Tuesday, January 9, 2018, guest rooms at the Marriott Marquis have now been SOLD OUT.
Due to another conference at the Marriott Marquis prior to the SSWR 2018 conference there were a limited number of guest rooms available on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Please note that guest room nights are available from Wednesday, January 10 to Sunday, January 14, 2018.
Please make your hotel reservations at the Marriott Marquis as soon as possible. The guest room rate for SSWR conference attendees is $206 plus applicable taxes. For reservations, go online at www.sswr.org or call the Marriott Marquis Washington DC at 1-800-228-9290. Be sure to indicate that you are with the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) in order to receive the special conference room rates.
The deadline to make hotel reservations with the SSWR discount is Friday, December 15, 2017.
Overview of the SSWR Annual Conference
The SSWR Annual Conference offers a scientific program that reflects a broad range of research interests, from workshops on the latest quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to symposia featuring studies in child welfare, aging, mental health, welfare reform, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS. Over 500 symposia, workshop, roundtable, paper and poster presentations. Research methods workshops designed to enhance methods expertise and grant-writing skills and special sessions on research priorities and capacity building that target cutting-edge topics vital to contemporary social work research. Pre-conference programs and a networking reception especially for doctoral students.
